AeroLog uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies: browser storage (local storage, session storage, IndexedDB), the cache our service worker keeps for offline flying, and a few scripts from Google. This page lists every one, what it does and how long it lasts. The Privacy Policy covers everything else about your data.
Your choices
- EEA, UK and Switzerland: analytics and advertising measurement stay off, and their scripts don't load, until you choose. “Reject all” is always one tap, next to “Accept all”.
- Everywhere else: analytics and advertising measurement are on by default, and you can turn either off at any time.
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends it, advertising measurement stays off, wherever you are.
- iPhone, iPad and Android app: Google Ads never runs in the app. Analytics follows the same rules as the website, and the app doesn't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Change your choice any time: at the bottom of every page, Settings → Privacy & cookies in the app, or Your Privacy Choices. Turning a category off deletes the cookies it set. Choices are kept for 12 months on this browser or device, then we ask again.
Strictly necessary
Always on. AeroLog can't sign you in, keep your account secure or work offline without them, and none of them is used for analytics or advertising.

Set by other services when you use them
- Google and Apple sign-in — when you choose “Continue with Google” or “Sign in with Apple”, that provider uses its own cookies on its own site, under its own policy.
- PayPal — checkout happens on paypal.com, which sets its own cookies there. AeroLog loads no PayPal script on its pages.
- Map tiles, weather and aircraft photos — Esri, OpenFreeMap, the U.S. Geological Survey, NASA, planespotters.net and YouTube thumbnails are fetched as images or data. Those servers see your IP address, like any web server. In our tests they set no cookies.
What AeroLog doesn't use
- No advertising networks other than the Google Ads conversion measurement above, and no remarketing.
- No social-media buttons or embedded posts: X posts show as AeroLog's own card, without X's script.
- No session recording, heat maps or device fingerprinting.
Your browser's own controls
You can also block or delete cookies and site data in your browser's settings. Blocking strictly necessary storage signs you out and turns off offline flying.
