03

Log on the ramp

Quick-entry with smart defaults, weather capture, and auto-tagging. Currency rings update in real time as you close flights.

02Product tour

Everything between preflight and postflight.

Every surface, designed to get out of the way.

Logbook

Logging a flight should take 20 seconds — not 20 taps.

Smart defaults from your last flight. Hobbs/tach reconciliation. Weather is captured automatically from your home airport. PIC, SIC, night, and IMC auto-tagged from the route and time-of-day. Your CSV export matches the FAA checkride format exactly.

  • Autocomplete aircraft, routes, crew
  • Night/IMC computed from sunset times

Currency rings

Glanceable rings for the FAR cycle you actually care about.

Day and night passenger, instrument 6-month, flight review, medical, and type-specific requirements — each a ring you can read from across the cockpit. Tap any ring to see the exact flight that unlocks it.

  • §61.57(a) day · (b) night · (c) IFR
  • §61.56 flight review countdown
  • §61.23 medical by class
  • Extension grace windows flagged in amber

Weather

The METAR, TAF, and NOTAMs — without another subscription.

Live feed from aviationweather.gov, parsed into a pilot-readable block. A ticker on every page shows your home airport conditions so you always know what the sky looks like before you switch tabs.

  • METAR + 24-hour TAF + NOTAMs
  • Auto flight-category color coding
  • Home-airport imagery via ArcGIS satellite
  • No API key, no paywall

Organizations

Run your school from a single browser tab.

Invite CFIs and students by email. Publish your SOPs and syllabi to the whole org once. Fleet utilization, 100-hour inspections, and compliance dashboards updated in real time as your CFIs sign endorsements and close flights.

  • Per-CFI + per-student roster
  • Shared library (POHs, SOPs, syllabi)
  • Fleet hrs + 100-hr tracking
  • Seat-based billing — add & remove anytime

07Frequently asked

Everything you'd ask a support rep.

Before you ever need to.

Is my flight data private?+

Yes. Logs, files, and endorsements are stored in your account and encrypted in transit. Only people you invite to your organization can see anything you share, and you control that list at any time.

Can I import my existing logbook?+

Yes — the Logbook page accepts CSV imports with the standard column set (date, aircraft, route, hobbs, PIC, dual, night, IMC, landings, approaches, remarks). Exports from ForeFlight, LogTen, and MyFlightbook all work.

What happens if I cancel my subscription?+

Your logbook, endorsements, and files stay with you. You'll drop to the Discovery tier — which keeps full read access to your history. New flights beyond the free limit require an upgrade to resume logging.

Does it work offline?+

Mostly. The dashboard and logbook read from a local cache, new flights queue on-device and sync when you reconnect, and the last METAR fetched for your home airport stays available. The app shell and map tiles are cached too. Live weather and traffic need a connection.

Can my CFI see my logs?+

Not by default. A CFI can connect with you by email invite, no organization needed. That shares messaging, availability, flight drafts they send you, and endorsements — not your logbook. Joining their organization is what opens your logbook, and it opens the whole thing to org admins and the CFIs they authorize.

Is it FAA-accepted as a digital logbook?+

AeroLog records flight time in a manner suitable for electronic logbooks under 14 CFR 61.51. Filter your logbook and print it to PDF in a 61.51 layout for checkrides or insurance audits. Endorsements are captured with a time-stamped record based on FAA AC 61-65 templates — they are not a cryptographic digital signature, so confirm with your DPE or flight school what signature format they require.

How does billing work for flight schools?+

Org plans bill the school a flat monthly price with a fixed member cap: Organization Lite is $50 for up to 15 members, Organization $100 for 40, Organization Elite $150 for 100. Annual prepay saves two months. Billing runs through PayPal; cancel anytime.

Who builds AeroLog?+

One person. I'm a student pilot, and AeroLog is the logbook I wanted for my own training — so I'm building it for myself and every other pilot. No team, no venture funding.
