Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old to create an AeroLog account, and you confirm your age during sign-up. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, a parent or guardian must review and accept these Terms on your behalf. If you use AeroLog on behalf of a flight school or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• You may not share a single account across multiple people or impersonate another person.

You retain ownership of flight logs, endorsements, files, and other content you upload ("Your Content"). You grant AeroLog a limited, worldwide license to host, display, and transmit Your Content solely to operate the Service for you. We never sell Your Content or use it to train third-party models.

AeroLog is a record-keeping and study tool. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of every entry. AeroLog's calculations (currency, totals, endorsement text) are informational and do not replace your pilot-in-command responsibility to verify regulatory compliance under 14 CFR Part 61 and your governing aviation authority.

Endorsement records created in AeroLog are time-stamped templates based on public FAA Advisory Circular 61-65 language. They are not a cryptographic digital signature and are not a substitute for the CFI's handwritten or separately-authenticated signature where a wet or authenticated signature is required. Always confirm what your DPE, flight school, or governing authority requires.

AeroLog is a supplemental planning, reference and record-keeping tool. It is not FAA-approved, is not a certified Electronic Flight Bag application, and must not be used as a primary means of navigation, collision avoidance, weather avoidance, or aircraft loading.

• Weather, NOTAMs, TFRs, charts, airport data and procedures come from third-party and government sources, may be delayed, incomplete or out of date, and are not an official weather briefing. Get an official briefing (e.g. 1800wxbrief.com / Flight Service) and check current official publications before every flight.
• Live aircraft positions come from crowd-sourced ADS-B networks, are delayed and incomplete, and must never be used for traffic separation or collision avoidance.
• Flight-plan, fuel, performance, and weight & balance calculations are estimates. Always verify them against the aircraft's approved POH/AFM.
• The pilot in command remains solely responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft and for compliance with 14 CFR 91.3, 91.103 and all other applicable regulations.

AeroLog displays data from public and third-party providers under their respective terms. Their content remains the property of its owners and is provided without warranty. Sources include:

• FAA / Aeronautical Information Services — charts, d-TPP, Coded Instrument Flight Procedures (CIFP), Digital Obstacle File, Chart Supplement, NOTAMs, TFRs, airspace and airport data (U.S. Government works).
• FAA Digital ATIS text, relayed by atis.info.
• NOAA / National Weather Service and the Aviation Weather Center — METARs, TAFs, SIGMETs/AIRMETs and graphics; NEXRAD radar tiles via the Iowa Environmental Mesonet.
• NASA GIBS / EOSDIS — satellite and night-lights imagery.
• Esri, Maxar, Earthstar Geographics — basemap and satellite imagery.
• © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL), served via OpenFreeMap and Overpass; OurAirports (public domain) airport and navaid data.
• airplanes.live — live ADS-B data from its feeder network; AeroLog's own ADS-B and airband receivers (KAUO) also feed it.
• adsb.lol — live ADS-B data (fallback), licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL).
• ATC audio and its automatic transcripts come only from AeroLog's own airband receivers at the airports listed in the ATC view. Transcripts are machine-generated and can be wrong; never use them for navigation or as a record of a clearance.
• planespotters.net — aircraft photos, credited to each photographer.
• The Space Devs (Launch Library 2), GDELT and publisher RSS feeds — launch schedules and headlines, each linking back to the original publisher.

• Paid plans are billed in advance via PayPal on a monthly or annual cycle.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled from the Billing page inside AeroLog or from your PayPal account.
• When you cancel, your paid tier stays active through the end of the current billing period, then drops to Discovery. No further charges are made.
• We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal.
• When you switch to a different plan, the new plan is billed immediately and the unused portion of your previous plan's most recent payment is refunded to your PayPal account.
• Fees are non-refundable except where required by law, when you switch plans as described above, or under the 14-day satisfaction window described on the Billing page.

You agree not to:

• Upload content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes anyone's rights.
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without written permission.
• Resell or white-label AeroLog without a commercial agreement.
• Use the Service to store or transmit regulated data (e.g. PHI, payment card numbers) outside what AeroLog is designed to hold.

We may modify or discontinue features at any time. We target high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance is announced where practical.

You can close your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for other users. On termination, you can export your logbook for 30 days, after which Your Content is deleted from production systems.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AEROLOG'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO AEROLOG IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. NEITHER PARTY WILL BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Alabama.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

AeroLog respects intellectual property rights. If you believe content hosted on AeroLog infringes your copyright, send a notice with (1) your signature, (2) identification of the work, (3) the URL or location of the infringing material, (4) your contact information, and (5) a good-faith statement that the use is not authorized, to team@aerolog.us. We will respond per 17 U.S.C. § 512 and may remove the material while we investigate.

AeroLog™ is a trademark of its owner. ForeFlight®, LogTen®, MyFlightbook®, Garmin Pilot™, Jeppesen® and FliteDeck® are trademarks of their respective owners. AeroLog is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them. All other marks referenced on the Service belong to their respective owners; nominative references are made only to describe file compatibility (import and export) and interoperability.
