What every member of a paid org gets

These sit on top of whatever personal plan a member is on — joining an org doesn't change it. Perks stack as the school moves up a tier: Organization adds everything in Lite, Elite adds everything in Organization.

Member storage boost

A paid member's personal file vault quota doubles while they're in this org. (Discovery has no vault — the vault itself is Aviator and up.)

Unlimited member logbook

Every member's logbook cap is lifted while they're in this org — Discovery accounts log past their 5-flight limit.

Shared org library

Admins can publish SOPs, syllabi, and reference files that every member can read.

Priority email support

Email me directly. Usually a reply within a business day.

20% member discount on Aviator

Org members who want their own paid pilot plan outside the org save 20% on Aviator, for as long as they're in the org.

Org finance desk

Admins, CFIs, and students can track lesson invoices, payments, and balances from the same org ledger.

30% member discount on Aviator

Higher than Organization — members save 30% on personal Aviator plans.

Concierge onboarding

A named success contact helps migrate your fleet, students, and historical logs.

Compare what each plan unlocks

Weather, currency, the schedule, the printable 61.51 logbook, and offline mode are on every tier, Discovery included. Aviator lifts the 5-flight cap and adds storage and logbook photo scan. Instructor adds the Students section, iCal feed import, and endorsement e-signatures. Organization plans let you create and run a school; the shared library is open to every member of one, whatever they pay. The three org tiers (Organization Lite / Organization / Organization Elite) carry the same features and differ only by member cap and storage.

Common questions

What people email me before signing up.

Is there really a free forever tier?+

Yes. Discovery keeps 5 flight logs, METAR/TAF/NOTAM weather, currency tracking, and the endorsement viewer, with no card. What you pay for is unlimited logging and the file vault — that starts on Aviator with 5 GB.

What happens when I hit 5 flights on Discovery?+

Everything you've already logged stays readable and exportable. Logging flight 6 needs Aviator.

Can I cancel anytime?+

One click in your PayPal account (Settings → Automatic Payments). The plan stays active through the end of the billing period, then drops to Discovery. Logbook and endorsements stay with you; vault files stay stored and unlock again whenever you're back on a paid plan.

How does the 14-day trial work?+

Aviator and Instructor only. Start one and nothing is charged until day 15; cancel before then and you're back on Discovery with nothing billed. Org plans bill from the first day.

Is annual billing cheaper?+

Yes — paying yearly saves ~17%, two months free. Aviator is $100/yr instead of $120, Instructor $200/yr, and the org tiers work out the same. You can switch between monthly and annual anytime; PayPal prorates the difference at your next renewal.

Does my CFI need their own subscription?+

Only if they want the Instructor tools — student roster, endorsement signing, iCal feed import. A CFI can connect with you by email invite on any plan, which shares messaging, availability, and flight drafts, not your logbook. Joining their organization is what opens your logbook.

How is org billing structured?+

The school pays one flat price for a fixed member cap: Organization Lite $50 for 15 members, Organization $100 for 40, Organization Elite $150 for 100. The cap is a hard limit — once it's full, no one else can join. All three tiers carry the same org tools; storage and the cap are what change.

Do members get a paid plan out of the org subscription?+

No. An org subscription pays for the org — dashboard, roster, endorsements, finance. Members keep whatever personal plan they're on and pick up two perks: paid members' personal vault quota doubles, and Aviator is 20% off on Organization, 30% off on Organization Elite. Every member can read the org's shared library on any plan.

What payment methods do you accept?+

Credit and debit cards and PayPal balance, through PayPal. That's the only processor right now.

Is AeroLog accepted as a digital logbook by the FAA?+

AeroLog records flight time in a manner suitable for electronic logbooks under 14 CFR 61.51. The logbook prints a 61.51 layout you can save as a PDF for a checkride or insurance audit. Endorsements are captured as a time-stamped record based on the FAA AC 61-65 templates — not a cryptographic signature, so confirm with your DPE or school what they require.
